This past season the Ottawa Senators had one of their most successful seasons to date. They first defeated the Boston Bruins in game six of round one off an overtime winner by Clarke MacArthur. They then took their postseason magic to the Big Apple where they dispatched of the New York Rangers in six games. In the Eastern Conference Finals the Ottawa Senators would face-off against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins. The series was back and forth with each team having the lead in the series and different points. It would go to double overtime of game seven, but unfortunately the Penguins would win the series and go on to win the Stanley Cup.
