It appears all the expected coaching positions with the Senators organization have been filled. After naming Rob Cookson as an assistant coach earlier this week, the team has named Pierre Groulx as the new goalie coach. Groulx fills the void left by the firing of Rick Wamsley at the end of the season.
Groulx began is NHL coaching career back in 2000 as the Senators’ video coach. He then left the Senators to join the Panthers, where he became the goaltending coach after two seasons, working with some guy named Craig Anderson.
