Marcus Hogberg is firmly in contention for a role with the Ottawa Senators next season, having signed a new two-year contract extension with the organisation.
The 24-year-old Swede impressed while carrying the load with the Belleville Senators last season, earning a 21-17-4 record in the minors.
During that stretch, Hogberg earned two shutouts and had a goal against average of 2.32 and had a save percentage of .917.
With long-time starter Craig Anderson entering the final year of his deal, which is likely to be his last with the organisation, it is reasonable to expect Hogberg to get a few looks in the 2019/20 season.
