The biggest move made in the off-season by the Senators was the hiring of coach Guy Boucher.
GM Pierre Dorion, on only his second day on the job, sent coach Dave Cameron along with assistants Andre Tourigny and Rick Wamsley packing. Since then, the coaching staff has undergone a complete overhaul and Boucher was hired after an extensive search in the spring.
This is Boucher’s second go-around in the NHL and like every coach he swears this time he’s learned from his past experiences.
