Erik Karlsson sought advice from one of baseball's best sluggers before making "a bet with a friend" earlier this week.
He has yet to get a response, but the wager is on anyway.
Via Twitter, the Senators' captain reached out to Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista to ask "Would I be able to hit a home run in batting practice?"
Kyle Turris doesn't believe he has a chance.
"He doesn't think I can hit a home run, he said (with someone) throwing a 70 mph pitch to where I want him to throw it.
