Pierre Dorion took a deep breath and had a short chance to relax after Monday’s media tour and introduction of new coach Guy Boucher.
But the work is hardly done for the Senators general manager.
In fact, it’s really just beginning now that the coaching search is behind him.
After spending the last month travelling across North America trying to find the right fit behind the club’s bench before signing Boucher to a three-year deal on Sunday, Dorion celebrated his one-month anniversary in the post by joining the club’s scouting meetings Tuesday at the Canadian Tire Centre.
