PHILADELPHIA - Bryan Murray showed how he truly feels about defenceman Erik Karlsson.
And, if the Senators GM had a vote for the Norris Trophy, Murray knows who he’d have at the top. Karlsson matched his career-high 78 points with a goal and an assist in the club’s 3-2 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Thursday night.
Murray doesn’t believe there should be any debate about who the best blueliner in the league is this season.
“He’s reached a career point-total now,” Murray said on Friday at the club’s downtown hotel. “I hear people talking about other defencemen in the league that are good and more valuable to their team.
