Michael Carcone originally joined the Ottawa Senators in the trade that also saw the club acquire defenceman Nikita Zaitsev and winger Connor Brown on July 1st.
The 23-year-old Ajax, Ontario native has so far spent his entire professional career playing in the AHL, with the Utica Comets and Toronto Marlies, and is most likely going to start the 2019/20 season with the Belleville Senators.
Originally going undrafted, having earned 130 points (59 goals, 71 assists) in 116 appearances for the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL, Carcone has taken a long time in his development but showed real promise with the Marlies last season.
