CHICAGO — Mike Hoffman will be ready to return from his suspension Tuesday night in the Windy City.
That means coach Guy Boucher is going to have to do some line juggling.
The Senators winger, who was banned for two games after a cross-check to the head of San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture last Wednesday, will return but, at this point, Hoffman might have a tough time getting back on a line with Derick Brassard and Mark Stone.
Though it’s only a small sample size, winger Zack Smith, who has been given the chance to play an offensive role in Hoffman’s absence, had three goals and five points in back-to-back wins over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday (3-1) and the New York Islanders on Sunday (6-2).
