Bryan Murray has never backed away from a challenge and he continues to put up the good fight in his battle with terminal colon cancer.
While refusing to feel sorry for himself following his diagnosis two years ago and during his on-going bi-weekly chemotherapy treatments, he’s also hoping to use his profile as a voice for cancer awareness and prevention.
Murray, who stepped down as Senators general manager in April and now serves as the club’s senior hockey adviser, has taken on a signature role for the Canadian Cancer Society.
He is serving as the Ottawa area’s Community Champion for Relay For Life, a series of fundraising events designed to raise $1 million in cancer research and in support for those already living with the disease.
