Ottawa Senators defenceman Thomas Chabot has been named to Team Canada’s roster for the 2019 World Championships set to take place in Slovakia.
He is the third Senators player to be named to his country’s team after Colin White (USA) and Christian Jaros (Slovakia).
Chabot has been named one of seven defencemen that will be tasked with helping Canada improve on last year’s fourth-place finish in the competition.
The call-up is a fitting reward for the Sainte-Marie, Quebec native – who stepped up and showed he is ready to be a top pairing player in the NHL.
