Mark Borowiecki is on the road to recovery.
The Senators’ defenceman was knocked out last Saturday when he hit his head on the boards in a collision with Columbus forward Brandon Saad but coach Dave Cameron told reporters that Borowiecki is day-to-day and hasn’t been ruled out for a return this Saturday against the Detroit Red Wings at home.
“He’s close. He’s real close,” said Cameron before Thursday night’s visit by the Carolina Hurricanes. “He’s going through the process (for post-concussion syndrome) and it’s funny because you’ve got some guys in the room who are out and they just shake their heads.
