In the first period of their Monday night match-up with the Chicago Blackhawks, Anders Nilsson was pulled after allowing 4 goals on 12 shots in just 13:22 TOI. This prompted Guy Boucher to pull Nilsson and allow Craig Anderson to enter the game for the Ottawa Senators in relief, allowing the 37-year old goalie reaching a milestone against the team he debuted with all the way back in 2002.
Last night was the 600th NHL game that Anderson played in, making him the 50th goalie in NHL history to reach that mark.
Even with how inconsistent he has been recently, reaching 600 games is still an accomplishment that should be celebrated by the fans and the Ottawa Senators organization.
