The Senators could finally settle on a new home for their AHL affiliate as early as next week.
After months of negotiations with plenty of twists and turns, Belleville city council is set to hold an open session Monday, where it’s believed it will likely approve more than $20 million in upgrades to the Yardmen Arena so the Senators can move their AHL affiliate there from Binghamton in 2017-18.
The agenda of the special meeting of Belleville city council — posted on the city’s website — is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Monday to consider a report detailing the awarding of a contract to Ottawa-based Architecture49 for the expansion and improvements to the rink.
