Erik Condra misses his former Senators teammates.
The Ottawa winter? Not so much.
“I’ve gone soft,” the pesky former Senators winger said Monday. “I walked through the Byward Market (Sunday) night. It was cold.”
Not coincidentally, the Senators penalty killing has also gone soft and cold since Condra signed with the Tampa Bay Lightning as a free agent.
The Senators are last in the NHL in thwarting opposition power plays. In the three previous seasons, Condra played a pivotal role on a Senators penalty killing squad which ranked 11th, 22nd and first in the league.
