Bryan Murray is getting recognition for his success with the Senators.
Senators’ owner Eugene Melnyk confirmed Friday morning the former GM and coach, who is in his 13th year with the organization, will be the club’s first inductee into a Ring of Honour that will be placed on the 300-level of the Canadian Tire Centre.
Murray’s induction into the newly-formed Ring of Honour will take place on Jan. 24th before a game against the Washington Capitals. The 74-year-old Murray started his coaching career with the Capitals.
He was a unanimous choice of the club’s Player Honouring Committee that was established in July, 2015.
