The Sens made a deal today acquiring forward Tommy Wingels from the San Jose Sharks in exchange for Buddy Robinson, Zack Stortini, and a 7th round pick from 2017.
Wingels, who’s been playing fourth line centre for the Sharks, has five goals and three assists in 37 games so far this season. He can also play right wing, and is expected to make the trip to Ottawa tonight and play his first game on Wednesday vs Calgary.
Set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, Wingels is currently at the tail end of a three-year deal making $2.
