With the draft only a few days away, the Sens seem to have started the preparation phase of their action plan. In a depth move, the Ottawa Senators have acquired 25-year-old defenseman Josh Brown in exchange for a fourth-round pick.
Josh Brown was a sixth-round pick in 2013 and at 6’5 and a right shot, he seems like a good insurance player to have either in Belleville or Ottawa. He has played 93 NHL games with the Florida Panthers in the past two season amassing 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists) and was previously coached by DJ Smith in Oshawa where they were the Memorial Cup Champions in 2015.
