A bad case of Sens fever has broken out in the capital.
As the Senators get set to take on the Montreal Canadiens in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal Wednesday, the City of Ottawa officially opened (with the OK from the club this time) Sens Mile on Elgin St. on Sunday afternoon and on Tuesday, Mayor Jim Watson and several city councillors ceremoniously raised the team's flag at City Hall.
But perhaps the biggest sign of playoff madness throughout the city is in Hintonburg.
The west-end's must visit burger joint, Hintonburger, is renaming itself Hammondburger, a hat tip to phenom netminder Andrew (Hamburglar) Hammond, for the duration of the playoffs.
