NEW YORK — Unless the Senators are worried about playing on a rink — surrounded by the weight of 18,000 fans — that sits five floors above street level, there really should be no fear of facing the Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
This just in: they’re not that great at home.
During the regular season, the Blueshirts’ road record (27-12-2) was the best in the league, but they were a humble 21-16-4 in their own barn, including eight straight losses from Feb. 21-Mar. 31.
True, they are currently riding a four-game winning streak at MSG, but before that they had lost six consecutive home playoff games.
