The Ottawa Senators aren’t used to picking this late in the draft, but we here at Silver Seven believe they can still get a productive piece for the future. That’s the reason we’re selecting Jason Robertson of the Kingston Frontenacs, a 6’2”, 194 lb left-wing.
Robertson put up 81 points (42 goals) in 68 games this year, taking advantage of his increased role in the organization to build off his 32 points (18 goals) in 54 games last year. He also put up 18 points (five goals) in 11 playoff games this year. What’s even more notable is that Robertson basically did it by himself, with the second-best scorer on Kingston (Stephen Desrocher) putting up 51 points.
