SUNRISE, FLA. - By the understandable giddiness and expression on his face, it was clear to see Ryan Dzingel got exactly what he wanted for Christmas.
The Senators' last pick in a bountiful 2011 entry draft played his first NHL game Tuesday when the Senators faced off against the Panthers at BB&T Center.
Dzingel was Binghamton's leading scorer when he was summoned to replace Bobby Ryan, who sat out with a broken finger.
"This has definitely been the coolest thing that's happened to me so far in my career," Dzingel said after the morning skate. "I'm just trying to have fun and help the team as much as I can.
