Bobby Ryan has been to one NHL all-star weekend in his career.
He's not sure he needs to go back.
The Senators winger told the Sun Thursday morning if 3-on-3 is going to make the current all-star weekend better, then the NHL and the Players' Association may as well give it a whirl to see if it can breathe some life into the game. But the reality is, it should "probably" just be cancelled.
Ryan, 28, chosen to represent the Senators last year in Columbus, noted before the visit by the Blue Jackets to the Canadian Tire Centre, most players would likely rather have the weekend off but something needed to be done because what's happening right now isn't working.
