OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators Foundation (@sensfoundation), in partnership with the Ottawa Senators (@Senators) will host its eighth annual Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night in support of the Ottawa Hospital at Canadian Tire Centre on Wednesday, Oct. 28, when the team opposes the Calgary Flames.
Prior to the game, the team will hold a special opening ceremony where Ottawa resident Jillian O’Connor and her family will drop the puck. O’Connor was diagnosed with breast cancer while pregnant with her youngest child. Thanks to the care and support she received from the Ottawa Hospital she was able to proceed with the pregnancy while maintaining the strength to battle the disease.
