News Release: Senators agree to terms with defenceman Cody Ceci on a two-year contract

OTTAWA – Ottawa Senators (@Senators) general manager Pierre Dorion announced today that the club has agreed to terms with defenceman Cody Ceci to a two-year contract which will run through the end of the 2017-18 National Hockey League season. The average annual value of the contract is $2.8 million ($2.25M, $3.35M).

Ceci, 22, established new NHL career highs in goals (10), points (26) and penalty minutes (18) while matching his career high for assists (16) over 75 games with the Senators during the 2015-16 season. Upon the conclusion of the season, he also skated with Team Canada at the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Moscow/St.
