TORONTO - The Battle of Ontario is set to resume Saturday night at the Air Canada Centre.
Gone are days of this rivalry when the games were dominated by the legendary, late Pat Quinn, the mystique of Gary Roberts and, of course, the antics of Tie Domi and Darcy Tucker that made this rivalry one of the best in sports before the Toronto Maple Leafs started a series of rebuilds and resets.
If former captain Daniel Alfredsson, now working as a senior adviser in the club's front office, happens to be in the building Saturday (and he hasn't been around the team this weekend) then if he's shown on the scoreboard he'll likely be the first off-ice executive booed in the history of the Air Canada Centre.
