Close friends since they were both drafted by the Senators 17 years ago, Chris Neil and Mike Fisher had a rare chance to break bread again Friday night.
"Hopefully he's buying," Neil joked, referring to the two-year, $8.8 million extension Fisher signed with the Predators in June. "We'll hook up tonight, have a little visit, and be ready to go (Saturday)."
One of the most popular players to ever pull on an Ottawa jersey, Fisher will be playing just his fourth game against his old team since Bryan Murray traded him to the Predators in February, 2011 as part of a rebuild.
