PITTSBURGH — As backwards as this may seem, momentum should be with the team that lost the most recent game in the Eastern Conference Final — and for significant spans of time, looked horrible doing it.
For what it’s worth, momentum should belong to the Senators.
They now have home-ice advantage, with the backing of a boisterous crowd and, perhaps more importantly, last line change.
Even without always being able to line up the players they wanted on the ice against Pittsburgh’s big guns, they held the Penguins to two goals in two games.
They frustrated Sidney Crosby, who went pointless in both.
