WASHINGTON - Chris Kelly and Derick Brassard will both celebrate milestone’s to ring in the New Year.
While Kelly will suit up for his 500th game in an Ottawa uniform when the Senators face the Washington Capitals Sunday night at the Verizon Center, this will be Brassard’s 600th career game.
Kelly, who has also played 288 games with the Boston Bruins before returning to Ottawa as a unrestricted free agent last summer, was drafted by the Senators in 1999 in the third round. He will become only the 10th player in franchise history to play 500 games with the club.
