The Senators will welcome back one of the wounded Saturday night.
Centre Mike Zibanejad has been declared healthy enough to play and he’ll suit up against the New York Islanders at the Canadian Tire Centre as the club closes out this three-game homestand at 7 p.m.
Zibanejad was centreing a line with Shane Prince and Mark Stone Saturday morning while the club recalled winger David Dziurzynski to dress in a fourth-line role which means defence Patrick Wiercioch will be a healthy scratch.
“It feels good. I’m excited,” said Zibanejad.
Hit in the head on a forearm by Philadelphia’s Radko Gudas Tuesday, Zibanejad was given the clearance by doctors Friday.
