BUFFALO -- - The ice was tilted in the Ottawa Senators favour for much of the night, but Robin Lehner stood tall.
The former Senators goaltender made all the difference in the Sabres’ 4-0 win over the Senators on Saturday, stopping 37 shots while posting his first shutout of the season and fourth of his career.
Kyle Okposo, Ryan O’Reilly, Sam Reinhart and Marcus Foligno scored for the Sabres against Senators goaltender Mike Condon. After the Foligno goal midway through the third period, Condon was replaced by Andrew Hammond.
“We let Lehner see a lot of the shots and made it a lot easier for him to make the saves,” said left winger Zack Smith.
