Kane: Hot streak 'pretty cool'

Six teams had a couple of cracks and failed. Another half dozen were unsuccessful as well.

"We want to be the team that does it," Senators defenceman Patrick Wiercioch said Thursday morning of keeping Blackhawks star Patrick Kane off the scoreboard. "He's been on fire the last 20 games."

Sizzling, in fact.

The 20-game consecutive point scoring streak Kane brought to Ottawa was a new record for U.S. born players and just one shy of the Blackhawks franchise mark, set by the Golden Jet, Bobby Hull.

"It's pretty cool," Kane said after the morning skate.
