The Ottawa Senators have announced the appointment of Jack Capuano as an associate coach ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Capuano joins the Senators with plenty of coaching experience under his belt, most notably being a seven-year stretch as head coach of the New York Islanders.
During Capuano’s time on Long Island, held led his team to a 227-192-62 record – with back to back seasons of over 100 points between 2014 and 2016.
The soon to be 53-year-old later joined the Florida Panthers as an associate coach, running the team’s defence under head coach Bob Boughner – who himself had been linked with the Senators.
