OTTAWA — Four weeks into NHL free agency, unsigned tough guy Chris Neil remains confident he'll find a job that appeals to him.
In the meantime, he's working on his knuckleball, his tennis serve, and, oh yes, his goal-scoring skills.
"I had a good game last night," Neil, who is once again staying sharp by playing men's league summer hockey, told yours truly and Ian Mendes Thursday afternoon on TSN 1200's 'The Drive'. "I think I had about eight tucks."
A couple of hours later, the longtime Senators right winger was at Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton Park for Chris Neil Appreciation Night, where his posters were handed out before he threw the game's opening pitch.
