OTTAWA, Ontario -- Andrew Hammond stopped all 30 shots for his first shutout of the season and the Ottawa Senators scored three short-handed goals in a 5-0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.
Jean-Gabriel Pageau, Curtis Lazar, and Alex Chiasson all scored with the Senators down a man. It was the fourth time in franchise history that the Senators had three short-handed goals in one game, and the first since an 8-2 win at Toronto on April 3, 2008.
Marc Methot and Mika Zibanejad also had goals for Ottawa, which was coming off a 3-1 loss to Buffalo on Friday.
