CALGARY — The Ottawa Senators goaltending story took another twist Friday night.
After a goal on four shots in the first period, goaltender Andrew Hammond didn’t come out for the second and Chris Driedger was forced to take over.
With Driedger called up from the AHL only 24 hours earlier, the Senators are already without goaltender Craig Anderson, who left the club Thursday after being given a leave of absence to attend to a family matter.
Hammond wasn’t on the bench for the start of the second period either and is out with what the club is calling a lower-body injury.
