Selected by the Ottawa Senators in the fifth round (139th overall) of the 2015 draft, there wasn’t initially much expectation for the Slovakian native Christian Jaros, but he soon proved doubters wrong with his great play in the Swedish Hockey League.
After a couple of mediocre seasons playing for Luleå HF in the SHL, he really started to shine through in the 2016/17 season where he posted five goals and eight assists for 13 points in 36 games.
Which surprisingly is actually really good for that league considering the leading scorer on his team, Johan Harju, had only 26 points.
