Nick Foligno has only worn a 'C' once before in his life. He was a little boy at the time.
"My junior coach (with the Sudbury Wolves) wouldn't give it to me ... pain in then ass," Foligno cracked Wednesday morning, referring, of course, to his father Mike. "He gave it to Marc Staal instead. My mom wasn't happy."
When his OHL days were over, Foligno joined the Senators, who picked him late in the first round of the 2008 entry draft. After spending just 28 games in Binghamton, he graduated to the NHL and never looked back.
