Heck of a guy, that Mike Fisher.
The Senators shower him with (two) gifts in a nice pre-game ceremony, and being the well-mannered young man he is, he says thank you just past the one quarter mark of the first period by raking his stick across Chris Wideman’s face.
Ottawa did nothing with the first two minutes of the double minor, but did score before Fisher stepped out of the box.
That’s right folks, the Senators’ broken power play is fixed. At least for now.
The fans who gave Fisher a strong for Ottawa ovation prior to the game will love him even more if Derick Brassard’s goal gets both the Senators centre and the power play going.
