OTTAWA — Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop wasn’t blinded by the magic dust which has carried the Ottawa Senators to a pair of recent wild comebacks.
Bishop, the former Senators goaltender who has his own magic touch against his former team — now 9-0-3 against the Senators for his career — withstood another furious third-period rally, leading the Lightning to a 4-1 win at Canadian Tire Centre.
Every loss now is devastating for the Senators faint playoff hopes but, once again, the Senators made life way too difficult for themselves.
Yet again, they fell behind by two goals, allowing second-period goals by Cedric Paquette and Ondrej Palat.
