It was the moment in Randy Sexton’s life the dream became reality.
And, in some ways, as Pittsburgh Penguins director of player development Bill Guerin handed the Stanley Cup to the 56-year-old Sunday night at the SAP Center in San Jose during the on-ice celebration, Sexton’s hockey life flashed before his eyes in those fleeting moments as he held the cherished mug over his head.
“You know what they say, people who are in a car accident, their life flashes before their eyes, I had that experience,” the Penguins director of player development said Monday night from Pittsburgh.
