PITTSBURGH — The Ottawa Senators brought in Viktor Stalberg to provide experience in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
Acquired from the Carolina Hurricanes at trade deadline, Stalberg, who won a Stanley Cup with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2013, wasn’t on the ice Saturday at the PPG Paints Arena and, while coach Guy Boucher won’t reveal his lineup until 4 p.m. when he meets with the media, it looks doubtful Stalberg will play.
Stalberg left Game 6 of the series against the Rangers in the second period.
Judging by the players on the ice this morning, it also appears winger Chris Neil, who suited up for the club’s final two games of the series victory over the Rangers in Round 3, was among the scratches that took part in a short skate.
