Don't expect much noise from Ottawa during free agency frenzy

SUNRISE, FLA. - Bryan Murray and his staff packed their bags for the trek north Sunday after wrapping up the two-day NHL entry draft on the weekend.

But their work isn't done yet.

The Senators' GM was pleased he was able to make a couple of moves by dealing goaltender Robin Lehner and centre David Legwand to Buffalo before Round 1 Friday and then completing a deal Saturday that saw defenceman Eric Gryba moved to the Edmonton Oilers for a pick and prospect Travis Ewaynyk.

Now, as the Senators prepare for the free agent frenzy on July 1, Murray doesn't believe he'll find the elusive top six forward he's been trying to get, partially because the market, but mostly because he'd like to get deals done with RFA's Mike Hoffman and Alex Chiasson before deciding what's next.
