Pierre Dorion has been working the phones as the Ottawa Senators prepare to open the season Thursday against the Washington Capitals.
He has been all talk and no action, which means what you see is what you get.
Like everybody else, the Senators had to have their 23-man roster to start the season into the NHL’s Central Registry on Tuesday at 5 p.m., and though the club’s general manager tried to make a deal for a depth forward, Dorion wasn’t able to get anything done, so this is the way Ottawa will start the season.
“I’ve had a very active past few days,” Dorion told TSN 1200 on Tuesday morning.
