LONDON, Ont. -- The goal is simple for Dave Cameron and the Senators: Make the post-season.
And he believes in this team. Does he have a playoff contender?
"Yes. It's not going to be easy. There's some factors that go into the playoffs that you have no control over and you hope the Hockey God's are on your side," Cameron told the Sun in a 1-on-1 interview during a break in the rookie tournament at the Budweiser Gardens.
Cameron wasn't an overnight success when he took over the club on Dec. 10 from the fired Paul MacLean, but slowly and surely, the Senators' coach got this team on the right track and was part of something special when the club made the playoffs on the final day of the season.
