D-day looms for Senators' Clarke MacArthur

A final decision on whether Ottawa Senators left winger Clarke MacArthur returns this season will be made Saturday night.

MacArthur, who hasn’t played since the second week of the season, cleared his concussion-baseline test on Wednesday.

He has also been symptom free for a month and has regularly practised with his Senators teammates.

However, given that only seven games remain in a season that will end without a playoff berth, the organization wants to make sure it’s taking the best direction for MacArthur’s long-term health.

For now, the only decision that has officially been made is that MacArthur won’t play Saturday against Anaheim.
