The Senators shouldn’t be fooling themselves. They ended their four-game losing streak on Tuesday because goaltender Craig Anderson was driving a bus full of far too many passengers.
The nailbiting 3-2 victory, remember, was against a Boston Bruins squad that had arrived home early on Tuesday morning after losing in Toronto on Monday.
Far too many Senators forwards have gone missing in action in the past week.
The good news is that Mark Stone was back skating and could return from his leg injury sooner rather than later.
If the rest of the forwards stay healthy, coach Guy Boucher should have a ready list of slumping players who could come out.
