COLUMBUS — - There is no mystery as to who will be the starting goaltender for the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night at Nationwide Arena.
It will be Mike Condon and there really isn’t any other choice.
As the Senators wrapped up a 45-minute skate here Wednesday afternoon, coach Guy Boucher indicated he hadn’t decided on any lineup changes, but confirmed the obvious choice in net with the 26-year-old Condon set to make his 11th straight start for Ottawa against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
“The goalie (Condon) will be in,” said Boucher.
With No. 1 goalie Craig Anderson away on a personal leave of absence to be with his wife Nicholle while she undergoes treatment for throat cancer and backup Andrew Hammond out indefinitely with a high ankle sprain, the options for Boucher and the Senators are limited.
