Dave Cameron sent a message Friday that he wants the Senators to get back to playing with structure.
He can only hope it’s not falling on deaf ears.
With only 13 games left in the regular season, the Senators put aside the talk of trying to make a run for the playoffs as they prepare to face the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday night at home. Instead, they're focused on trying to make sure they play the right way for 60 minutes to give themselves a chance to win.
The fact they’re having this kind of discussion with 68 games under their belts isn’t good for anybody involved but Cameron and the players believe the message is still getting through.
