Dave Cameron has a contract extension from the Ottawa Senators sitting, unopened, on his kitchen table.
It's not that he's worried the terms won't be acceptable. It's more that it's just a formality that he will get to shortly. The club has been good to him, Cameron said Wednesday when asked about his future with the club, and he's going to be good to them.
"This organization has been very fair to me, so I don't anticipate any (issues with the deal)," said Cameron, while admitting he's never been involved in overly complicated contract negotiations. "In all my years (coaching), I don't know if I ever negotiated a contract, I just took what was offered because it's always been fair.
